This is just one of the many storms we have been having. This is the middle of the morning, on Sunday. 

It got that dark in about 2 minutes. FUN! I remember when I use to love summer. I'm over it. 

The flowers were very pretty though. Somehow they managed to survive the wind that walloped the trees.

Last night, was the 4th Annual Manning Family BBQ. 

Oh yes. Family get togethers, scary, loud, fun,loud and oh yeah INSANE!  

Every year there is of course the food, but that's not the important part. Far from it. The most important part is the baseball game. Well ok, whiffle ball really, though someone did bring a real bat this year. There was also a theme. (this is where the scary bit comes in) The guys decided that they wanted to try and be as white trash as possible. Well, none of us had a trailer and it's hard to play sports barefoot in the street. Still I think they managed to pull it off. They even had a trophy this year. A trophy made from paper plates, cups and a beer bottle. We even had tshirts. A simple "Manning 4th Annual BBQ" on the front and "You Learn To Love Us" on the back. To those not involved this might sound a bit dopey, but the saying is so true. I mean people beg to be part our family. There were at least 5 people there who were not related to us that proudly wore the shirt and joined in the festivities. As I type I am downloading the pictures and trying not to fall of my chair laughing. Here are just a few of the highlights.

3 MORE DAYS!

 How on earth can I pack my entire closet into two suitcases? Hmmm.. maybe I could just wear lots of layers on the flight and not bother with suitcases at all. Lets see, parka, swearter, tshirt, jeans, shorts, raincoat.... Seriously, someone needs to invent teleport just for the luggage issues.
